Two unique self-catering cottages of great character on the Isle of Skye on Scotland's beautiful West Coast. The cottages have been comfortably modernised whilst retaining their traditional feel. They are situated in central Skye, ideally located for climbing and walking in the Cuillin and for exploring the rest of the island. Both cottages sleep a maximum of 8 and are available to rent by the week (normally Saturday to Saturday), all year round, with a flexible rent tariff from £120 per week. NB Both cottages have free wireless broadband.
(Allt Dearg, pronounced Jerak, means Red Burn.)
In a spectacular and isolated position close under the Black Cuillin ridge this unique old shepherd's cottage is ideally situated for climbing and walking and for exploring the rest of Skye.
This old school, which was last used as such in about 1930, was built about 120 years ago and has a fine outlook down to Loch Harport and the Red Cuillins.
We take bookings for both cottages up to a year in advance. Due to the high popularity of the cottages it is well worth booking early to avoid disappointment, especially in the busy holiday periods. The cottages are generally let by the week from Saturday to Saturday. For Availability of the Cottages click on the links in the Information Menu on the left of this page.
